Effect
Besides the analog baking template you can also use our virtual one. Try out the AR effect right now on Instagram.
Recipe
Preheat the oven to 170 °C top/bottom heat. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating the egg whites until they are stiff.
Sift the flour, cocoa and vanilla sugar into a bowl. Fold the egg white mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Put the mixture into a piping bag. If you don’t have one on hand, just use a freezer bag and cut off a corner of the bag. Place the template on a baking sheet (or use the Instagram effect) and squeeze the dough into the dashed lines of each letter.
Be careful not to fill the letters completely, as they will rise significantly during baking. Put the “Ukrainian Bread” in the oven, take it out after 10 minutes and let it cool completely.
Enjoy your efforts.

School
The Ukrainian Saturday School in Vienna was founded in 2010 on the initiative of the Ukrainian Ivan Franko Center for Education and Culture. More than 500 Ukrainian students aged 6 to 17 were already meeting here once a week before the war.
Before the war, the school was intended for children with Ukrainian roots who were staying in Austria for a short or longer period. Students at the Ukrainian Saturday School receive a school certificate according to Ukrainian law, so they can then enter school without any problems when they return to their home country.
The focus changed in February 2022. Today, nearly 1,000 children displaced from Ukraine have been enrolled in the school. Most of them will have to stay in Austria for an unforeseeable length of time, so they need intensive support in learning the German language.
This task is pushing the non-profit association to its limits, so it needs all the help it can get. More information about the project can be found here.
